Introduction

C150 PEM hydrogen cell is the key part to produce pure hydrogen by electrolysis pure water.It use PEM hydrogen technology which is the abbreviation of Proton Exchange Membrane.it is the latest hydrogen Production technology. Its theory is coat platinium and iridium on ion exchange membrane separately in two side to make it to membrane electrode.membrane electrode also called CCM.one side of it is anode,another side of it is cathod.this way,it will be near zero distance between anode and cathod.As is known to all,the smaller electrode distance the higher water electrolysis efficiency.so the PEM hydrogen cell can be higher current density and lower voltage requirement.what’s more It only need electrolysis pure water,no need add any alkaline chemical to water.this way it will avoid pollution to enviroment and also will be user-friendly which can avoid corrosion contacting.

it is ideal to use it make small onsite hydrogen generator.

Put Electrolytic water(water requirement:electrical resistivity >1MΩ/ cm)into the anode room of hydrogen cell,after power on ,water will be decomposed instantly. At the anode chemical formular as this: 2H2O = 4H+ + 2O-2. The decomposed negative oxyanion (O-2) will fast release electron to form oxygen (O2) gas.At the cathod, the hydrogen proton, in the form of aqua ion (H+.XH2 O), and under the action of electric field force, through PEM ion membrane, will rach the cathode to absorb electron to form hydrogen gas.this is the basic reaction flow process.The whole reaction process no need alkaline or acidic substances to participate in.
